Richard Higham , Founding Director

Richard Higham

Founding Director

Richard is seen as a highly experienced reflective practitioner in the field of sales and key account management. He has won, designed and led sales performance projects across the world for over 25 years. He is known for his ability to deliver measurable, sustainable results through a blend of innovative thinking and a pragmatic hands-on approach. He is a compelling speaker, trainer, writer and coach. Richard has an MA from Jesus College Cambridge, is a Founding Fellow of the Institute of Professional Sales and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts & Commerce. He is a Member of the Association for Coaching. He is an adjunct lecturer on the Dublin Institute of Technology’s Postgraduate Diploma in International Sales course and runs business development and leadership programmes for Bayes Business School, City, University of London. As a Founding Director of Sales Fitness Group he is responsible for developing and implementing the firm’s sales performance concepts and solutions. He works closely with a limited number of clients especially in the fields of key account management, business development and sales organisation and leadership.

Martin Allison , Executive Chairman

Executive Chairman

Martin developed a passion for sales and business development during his long and successful banking career which saw him rise to senior general management roles in a leading global banks. Subsequently he has served many organisations involved in transformational change and turnaround including serving as Dean of Leeds Metropolitan University Business and Law Schools, Chair of the British Bobsleigh & Skeleton Association and the Leeds Community Foundation. Martin has co-invested in numerous businesses, several of which he chairs. He is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, holds an MBA and is a Fellow of the Institute of Professional Sales. He brings a number of competencies to our customers and Group including; business and financial acumen, senior management coaching and facilitation, a strong grasp of the theory and practice of sales (including sales gamification) and an extensive network of senior relationships.

Charlie Newby , Senior Sales Performance Consultant

Charlie has over 25 years’ experience in senior management and sales and business development roles. Working initially in the pharmaceuticals sector, Charlie moved into the professional services arena working for a global Big 4 accountancy and advisory firm managing various elements of their sales and marketing functions. He led a global sales performance improvement firm for 9 years .He has held a number of non-executive director roles including with the internet payment provider SECpay leading to a business sale to PayPal. Charlie held the position of International Business Development Director for a top 10 global accountancy and advisory firm, designing, installing and implementing their global go-to-market strategy. He has a biochemistry degree from the University of Newcastle and graduated from the Harvard Business School Executive Development Programme. Charlie’s professional interests include sales leadership and the development of international business.

Emma has worked with companies within the group since 2008. Emma is responsible for looking after a number of our clients and ensuring everything is in place for a positive customer experience. With over 20 years’ experience in customer service roles Emma combines an engaging and warm style with energy, efficiency and an eye for detail. She also has a key role in marketing communications for Sales Fitness Group, working on email campaigns, social media, project support, survey builds and reporting and analytics. Emma is approachable and friendly and prides herself on her attention to detail “if a job is worth doing it is worth doing right”.

Jon Clark , Senior Sales Compensation Consultant

Jon is an experienced Reward/HR consultant working with clients to design and implement reward and sales performance management solutions. He has 30 years’ experience working on UK-based and international projects including a decade with a Big4 Accountancy firm. Jon works with Chief Executives, CHROs, Heads of Reward and Sales leaders to design Sales Performance and Reward solutions including reward strategy, incentives design, pay and grading structures, performance management systems, sales performance management improvement initiatives and change management. Jon's reward consulting experience is cross sector including financial services, telecoms, hi-tech, media, pharma, manufacturing, sports, not-for-profit and professional services. He has been a regular speaker at conferences and on webinars. Jon has a B Hons in Ancient History and an MSc in Human Resources.

Stephen Jones , Board Advisor

Stephen Jones

Board Advisor

Stephen advises the Sales Fitness Group Board and leads sales forecasting projects with clients. He brings to bear broad and deep experience of how the digital world interacts with the world of sales. He developed the powerful SalesCast app for qualifying opportunities and managing and improving conversion rates which is now part of the group’s portfolio. He gained his experience in digital selling at both Linked In and at Oracle (where he was global key account director of the year in 2012). Following a BSc in Biochemistry from Bristol he has gained an MSc in Psychology (cognitive science factors in commercial decision making) from London University, an MBA from Warwick Business School and a Certificate in Data Science from Harvard.

Andy developed the Sales Cast app alongside Stephen. He advises the Sales Fitness Group Board on Digital issues. As Director of Technology and Consulting at Venture Axis for almost two decades he has been closely involved in the software behind Prozone. His capabilities in software design and business consulting are a real asset to the group and our clients as the world of digital selling develops rapidly and radically.

Graeme Allison FCCA , Finance Director

Finance Director

Graeme Allison is an experienced director, finance professional (FCCA) and entrepreneur who has worked with a large number of business owners all over the UK during the last 30 years. He has held senior positions in both the public and private sectors as well as founding a number of successful businesses. Graeme Allison co-founded a specialist corporate finance boutique in 2001 which provided support to many businesses throughout the UK. This successful business was ultimately sold to a major UK based PLC in 2007. In 2011 Graeme Allison established an Advisory business with his brother Martin Allison which specialises in business support, consultancy and change management.

Leanne Blakemore , Finance Manager

Finance Manager

Leanne is the Sales Fitness Group’s Finance Manager and handles financial matters with clients and suppliers as well as managing all aspects of financial management and reporting. Leanne has worked with companies within the group since 2008.

Roger manages the group’s IT infrastructure and develops and implements digital selling solutions for clients. He combines impressive technical capability with an ability to make solutions work in diverse and challenging sales environments. Roger has worked with companies within the group since 2008.

Product Testing and Client Support

Peter uses his technical capabilities to ensure the group’s digital selling tools work seamlessly for our clients. He also provides clients with support answering queries from users and managers. He has worked with Group companies since 2017.
